Facade and Lobby Design at 210 11th Ave.

New York, NY

To increase the value of this building in New York’s developing Hudson Yards area, the owners sought to remove the loading dock and create an inviting and accessible entry.

DE LA GARZA ARCHITECTURE LLC developed a design with a suspended glass and metal canopy over a new entry referencing the neighborhood’s industrial heritage. Exposed brick walls and pipes, oxidized metal and concrete art panels are employed in the interior,  welcoming visitors to the upstairs       galleries.

In addition to design, DE LA GARZA ARCHITECTURE LLC uncovered and addressed both structural and phasing challenges. By determining the project scope then develop budget figures and an outline schedule early in the project, the client was afforded the clarity that they needed to move forward.
