DE LA GARZA ARCHITECTURE LLC was engaged as Executive Architect by Updater, a fast-growing tech start-up, for their new offices overlooking New York City’s Union Square.
The conference and service areas are gathered to the interior of the space leaving the light-filled window areas for work and gathering spaces. Platform seating that doubles as storage and a colorful reception area trellis are two of the unique features that add to the youthful look and feel of the space.
Our work required close coordination with the client, designer, engineers and landlord management team to develop solutions and resolve site challenges during construction.
We focused on enhancing the designer’s vision and incorporating client needs through careful detailing, lighting selections, mechanical integration and ongoing resolution of site conditions.
