DE LA GARZA ARCHITECTURE LLC was the architect and designer for the opening of a new flagship store in New York City for high end retail company, Cinar Carpets. Cinar Carpets was established in the early 1900’s and today, Cinar is the largest Turkish company manufacturing silk and wool carpets.
The design included a large picture window storefront, an intimate reception area with a deco-like staircase and an interactive lounge area with iPad stations on the wall. Custom hanging systems and feature lighting were designed and fabricated for the corridors and walls, allowing for carpets to function not only as showroom displays but as store wall decorations as well. Custom satin finished brass shelving with storage was designed to alternatively display carpets and create a simple yet elegant sales area. DLGA blended Turkish artistry with the vibrancy of New York City to create a presence that showcases the uniqueness of the Cinar brand.
