M&M's World in Times Square

New York, NY

As the Senior Construction Project Manager, Javier de la Garza played a central role in delivering this 25,000 sf store.  In addition to coordinating and directing the construction process, he developed solutions to a host of design, code, structural, and mechanical issues to achieve the design concept.

This unique project, built in a newly-constructed building in Times Square, required significant structural work for the installation of a new mezzanine level, escalator, stairs and elevators. In order to meet the client’s aggressive opening date, the construction management office was on-site and the design, pricing and construction followed a fast-track schedule.

Specialty displays and lighting make for a vibrant branded experience inside and out. The store has been a tremendous success for the company and is now an internationally-known tourist attraction.
